Beijing, China is looking for candidates for those who would want to be the torchbearers this coming 2008 Olympics to be held in Beijing a few months from now. Apparently, only foreigners living in China are allowed to become a part of the eight Olympic Torchbearers. If you qualify and want to have a share in the position, here’s how:

How to Participate:

1. Foreigners living in China are eligible to become an Olympic torchbearer candidate by applying online at China Daily.
2. All netizens can vote for their favorite torchbearer candidate on the website. A selection committee will pick 100 candidates who will be chosen according to the number of votes they receive, as well as their experiences and qualifications.
3. The selection committee will determine the final eight Olympic torchbearers.

Ok so i waited for adsense review for 8 excruciating days only to find out that i was disapproved to to an unassociated application, which i have no idea of. Oh well, i might as well just share with someone’s adsense and just ask from my revenue there. Haaay. I’m pissed.

I’ve been blogging in this new site for almost 3 days now. And the last time google indexed my site was more than a day ago. This is not supposed to be this way. I transferred since i thought that it would index so much faster. And by fast, i mean less than an hour after posts. I’m quite devastated about this unfortunate event.

Let me give google a few more days. If not, i’m gonna have to increase my efforts with $$$. Hahaha.

Japan had another earthquake earlier. It’s not fun living along the playgrounds of the volcanic something, no? Japan has this bad weather condition and they always have earthquakes. Still, i wanna go there cause i heard lots of good things about the place. Food, clothes, tourist spots… So here’s the news i got from Inquirer regarding the earthquake:

“TOKYO — A strong 7.4-magnitude quake struck off southern Japan Friday, seismologists said, but there were no immediate reports of major damage nor casualties.

The quake occurred at 11:38 pm (1338 GMT), 340 kilometers (210 miles) south-south-east of Iwo Jima in Japan’s Volcano Islands, at a depth of 261 kilometers, the US Geological Survey said.

Japan experiences about 20 percent of the world’s powerful earthquakes. In July an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale shook central Niigata prefecture, killing 11 people.”

See? I told you earthquakes love them! I just hope you wouldn’t be a tourist in Japan when another intensity 10 earthquake occurs. Just like what happened to the tourists in Thailand. *may they rest in peace*

Ok i don’t wanna blog anymore about negative things.

My face is already so dry from the Vitamins i’m taking. I really recommend Vitamin A if you wanna dry out your face. I mean heaps and heaps of Vitamin A. But don’t forget to check how much you should be getting. You can research online on the limit of vitamin A that you can take.  I think you should also get all the other vitamins to balance out the HARMONY of vitamins. But overall, Vitamin A is heaven sent. Also, my vitamin C isn’t working that well. I’m not supposed to have colds right now since i’m taking 1000mg of Kirkland Vitamin C. I took it with Vitamin E from Kirkland too but what happened was it gave me break outs, and that sucks. I asked my derma and my doctor why this happened, first, they said that it’s because of the oils, which for me wasn’t related and they should just get a different profession for not thinking about that statement, next is that they only recommend it for people above 35 years old. Ok i guess i’m too young if you look at it that way. You can get natural vitamin A, C and E from lots of foods. Check out this Food data chart for Vitamin A contents of food.

I’m so happy with my complexion now compared before. It’s not like my complexion before was bad, it’s just not as good as today.

Weather here in Manila, Philippines, according to the international weather forecast websites, isn’t doing that well and wouldn’t be that great for the following days to come. Early this morning, it’s SO HOT. I’m telling you, mother nature is making us suffer! Hahaha. It’s everyones fault for throwing candy wrappers everywhere and not planting trees. Hahahaha. Ok so besides it being hot earlier, right now it doesn’t stop raining. As in i woke up in the middle of the evening cause it’s so cold that i had to turn my aircon down. I can’t believe i was shivering to death. Anyway, now that it’s all better, i dont want it to rain this hard. My Semester break is nearing and i don’t wanna get stuck at home.

I recently stumbled into this Adventures of the Coconuter. David, the owner of the blog, blogs about hsi life here in the Philippines. Well… his life isn’t really like ours. He describes himself as a “modern day nomad in third-world Philippines in search of purpose and meaning to life encapsulated in an allegorical coconut called life”. Deep huh? Firstly, Philippines is now a second-world country, i think. If not, let us make ourselves believe that it is. Cause i live in Philippines and i don’t wanna be a third-world native. Hahaha. Going back to David, he writes really well. Better than my shallow writing skills. He writes about his “epic journey” as he wait for the “perfect coconut to fall down from the sky”.

Popcorn diet is the best diet if you want to binge. It has so low calories and best of all it tastes great. Opt for the ones in the market that are already flavored yet low on calories and other unhealthy stuff. Try Holy Kettle Corn or Kettle Corn. Don’t get those that you need to pop yourself plus add butter or salt. Butter and salt are the enemies. Never ever think of being friends with them!

Right now im eating kettle corn popcorn. It has a caramel taste to it. Yum. Best of all i dont feel like im getting bloated. Well there are, i’m sure, negative effects. But let me worry about them later.

I owe my sister a gift for her birthdays a month ago and i still haven’t been able to buy her one so i was spotting for what she’s been telling me to buy, Mineral Make up. So i was looking and i narrowed down my search to either Monave or Bare Escentuals. Instead of choosing which one, i opted to get different stuff from the two to increase variety.

I had no idea about this new show called Private Practice starring Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery of Grey’s Anatomy. Here’s a little review from TV.com regarding the first episode which was aired last September 26.

“Addison resigns from Seattle Grace, and heads to the Oceanside Wellness Group in LA where she was offered a job. Although, it seems that Naomi didn’t consult the other doctors when hiring her. A father is frustrated with his daughter when she hides the fact that she’s pregnant. When complications arise, Addison, Pete and Dell work together to make sure that the baby and the mother survive, as pain-free as possible. Jenny, a woman who has been seeing Violet, starts counting the tiles at a department store. To investigate what triggered it, Cooper and Paul, a shop assistant, assist Violet. Meanwhile, when a man dies of a stroke, Naomi, Sam and Charlotte argue over who should get his sperm - his wife or his mistress.“

Looks like i’ll be looking forward to more shows to watch this season. Seems like a good show worth watching. I’ll download the show now and maybe comment a bit and see if it’s a HOT or NOT.

As of this very very very very moment, i’m trying out wordpress. I just transferred from blogspot to my own domain and i’m using a blog powered by wordpress. Anyway i’m doing this so i can have my own domain name. This domain is only temporary. It doesn’t matter anyway since i’m the only one reading so no one would really care except those spiders from Google and Yahoo. Hehehe.

I have to get my own domain name soon. This one’s kinda crappy considering that i’m on a /blog. Domain registration is such a hassle, but since i’ve done it before, i think i can manage. I need strength. Hahaha.

Magnolia Healthtea Falvored Tea Drink. Low Calorie. Apple and Lemon flavor. Very very affordable!

Since i’m on semi-starvation mode (coz im eating quite a lot every 12 hours or so), instead of drinking heaps of water, i changed the regimen to bottles and bottles of Magnolia Healthtea. It’s a new product. The Magnolia Healthtea Falvored Tea Drink is so LOW on CALORIE! I already tried the Apple and Lemon flavor. Imagine, 250mL of tea and only about 60 calories! Beat that! And it only costs around P20 in 7-11! I’ve been drinking this instead of eating. It helps, really. Well right now i feel kinda sick since maybe im intaking too much sugar. And i came from a diabetic family on my mother’s side so i guess that doesn’t really help. I have to take a new beverage alternative. One that doesn’t have sugar in it but flavored and healthy. As long as it’s flavored. I don’t wanna gulp waters no more. I am NOT a fish.

Season 4 of Desperate Housewives premieres September 30!

Just can’t wait to watch Season 4 of Desperate Housewives. I finished downloading the secrets and lies episode which probably was a summary of the past seasons. It was Season 4 Episode 0. Well it wasnt much of a help determining what will happen next on Season 4. Can’t wait for September 30!

Heroes Season 2 Episode 1 Highlights and Review. Maya and Alejandro, new characters. Takezo Kensei, drunkard! Kaito Nakamura, dead! Peter has amnesia.

YAHOOO!!! I just finished watching Heroes Season 2 Episode 1!!! It’s so the best but it’s such a cliff hanger! Damn! But overall it’s great! Here are some important highlights.

• There were these new characters Maya and Alejandro. Maya seems to have some deadly power.
• Claire, Noah Bennet and family moved somewhere to remain discreet.
• Matt Parkman and Molly are now living together and Matt is now divorced.
• Hiro Nakamura (accidentally) went back in time and met his Hero Takezo Kensei, who isn’t really the guy Hiro thought he would be.
• Claire now has this new soon-to-be love or boyfriend West, who has the ability to fly.
• Kaito Nakamura and Angela both god the sign which says that they’ll die within 24 hours.
• Kaito died after he was pushed by this strange guy in a hooded jacket.
• Peter was found inside a cargo and he has amnesia. With a new haircut and a necklace with this weird sign on it.

That’s about all the important parts in the show. I can’t wait to see the rest! I’m off now. I have to buy some stuff from the mall.

Google Adsense registration delay. From 2 days to 2 weeks!

How long has it been since i joined Google Adsense. I think i registered more than 4 days ago. They said they’re gonna review it and ill get a result in 2 days. Now whenever i go to the site it says it’s still under review. My sister told me she had hers for about 2 weeks after she registered. How long are they gonna take. I wanna start harvesting money. (As if i have readers! Hahaha)

I wanna be just like Mr. Burns of Simpsons. RICHER. hehehe. Minus the ugliness and sad life of course. He owns almost half (or even more) of Springfield. I mean, given the chance to become a character in Simpsons, in no time, i’ll shout his name.

Another one of my Simpsons post after watching a few episode. I feel sick today. This starvation diet isn’t going really well… i feel weak and fatigued. I have runny nose and i sound like crap with a towel stuffed in my mouth. I’m not stressing anymore since the worst is over. My presentation turned out fine. I hope the result will have the same say. Hehehe.

I have to lip balms right now. One which was recommended by my dermatologist and the other one i bought from Watsons, recommended by my sister.

Eau Thermale: Avene Cold Cream Lip Balm. (WORST)

• What can i say about this product besides that it gives me the WAXY look a few minutes after application. It’s also heavy and it makes me feel uneasy making me want to press my lips over and over til the lip balm fades away. So definitely a no-no for me. It costs P600. I don’t use it anymore though. I just keep it since it has that nice foreign name that makes it look so classy. I only bought it as respect to my dermatologist. Hahaha. I don’t have to use it anymore, cause i already found my one and only…

Watsons: Mint Lip Balm. (BEST)

• Affordable and effective. Two best words that describe this Mint Lip Balm i got from Watsons. It doesn’t give you that heavy-feel. It doesn’t give you that waxy-greasy-look like you drank olive oil. It has that soothing effect due to the minty stuff. I’m applying it to my lips as i type. And you know what? It’s great! I think it’s only available here in the Philippines though. It’s really worth it. PLUS, IT’S CHEAP!

I went to Robinson’s Metroeast in Cainta, Rizal a little while ago to buy myself the Dermisol Lotion by NuDerm Skin Care Systems from Dermclinic. It was recommended by a friend to help in healing acne or pimple since it has a an active ingredient called (I forgot, ill update this part if I remember). It’s 100 mL and it costs P420.00.

Homeless to Harvard - Hallmark. Liz Murray portrayed by Thora Birch. Harvard dreams.

I just finished watching from Hallmark this movie, Homeless to Harvard. I’ve seen it for like 4 times already. They probably show it there every month or so, or maybe twice a month! No worries since i like the show and whenever i stumble upon it i get hooked.

Homeless to Harvard, basically, is a story of a girl, who, from homeless, was able to rise above everything. A girl whose life came crashing down as a series of unfortunate events occurred in her life. It was a true story based on the life of Liz Murray. From homeless, to Harvard! Thora Birch’s portrayal of Liz’s character was great. The show was heart-breaking. It’s so family oriented and success-driven.

The last part got me wondering. There was a statement saying that she left Harvard some year after. So i did a little research. I found out that she had to transfer since the $12,000 scholarship she got wasn’t enough for Harvard and that she had to transfer to a school near her dad’s apartment, who’s dying of AIDS.

I rate this movie 10/10 popcorns and sodas! Hahahaha.

Fusidic Acid or Fucithalmic: Eye irritation remedy. Super Effective! Antibacterial Opthalmic Drops. Low Allergenic Potential.

We should be careful of infections on our eye area since it may damage our vision. 2 days ago, I had this impending Stye on my right eye. A stye is like a growing bump caused by bacterial infection in the sebaceous gland at the base of the eyelashes. People normally get stye when the skin around their eye gets irritated. Some people say that it’s actually a pimple in the eye area. So anyway, i know that i was gonna get a huge one soon. I’ve had lots of styes before and whenever i go to a doctor, they always prescribe Fusidic Acid or Fucithalmic.

Fucithalmic is SO EFFECTIVE! After applying 1 drop every 4 hours in my eye for one day, the next day the irritation is gone. What was supposed to be impending, vanished! It contains 1% Opthalmic Drops which is an antibacterial agent. It doesn’t give you allergy or side-effects because it is generally atoxic and has very low allergenic potential! I even use it on my pimples so they dry faster. Hahaha. I don’t know if it’s a good thing or not tho.

The sad part about these miracle drops is that there is a large possibility that you will develop resistance.

Anyway, I saved myself from wearing an oversized sunglass inside class. And to think i would be reporting tomorrow. i don’t even wanna think about what will happen if Fucithalmic wasn’t invented. Tomorrow may have been the WORST and MOST HUMILIATING day of my life!

Forbidden City Cafe. Starbucks evicted! Commercialized Imperial Palace. Chinese Culture.

I just read online… there’s a new Cafe in the Forbidden City in China! Say goodbye to Starbucks! Well according to Rui Chenggang, Starbucks didn’t consider the “solemnity of the Forbidden City and (trampled on) Chinese culture.” Imagine, the Forbidden City of Beijing is now commercialized! Starbucks has been there since 2000, as said in the article.

So the main reason why they wanted a new cafe was so that they can provide other product related to Imperial Palace and Chinese Culture.

Well, ok, i find it reasonable. Viva China! Hehehe.
